Match Mixer app for iPhone and iPad

Match Mixer is designed for a group of 10 or more players who meet on a regular basis to play badminton, tennis or table tennis. Match Mixer makes it simple to set up random matches, with the rank of individual players taken into account, in order to make varied and fun matches. Match Mixer helps to get an overview of the players. Is there an even or uneven number of players? Still Match Mixer is just a tool. It is the user who is in control of putting matches together.

USER GUIDE:

Under the tab Player Database you maintain a list of all players. Each player is registered by name, gender and rank in both double and single. If the group is relatively constant, you only have to do this once. Yet it is easy to edit rank, delete player or add new player.

At match time select the tab Active Players, here players who actually shows up are checked in. Select the tab Game Plan. Match Mixer then shuffles the active players and presents them on court plans.

Match Mixer is a tool. It is still the user who is in control of the shuffling:

- You can select between 5 different shuffle methods: Md/Wd, Mix, Weak, Mid, Single.
- You can shuffle again and again with the Shuffle button, until satisfied.
- If a court is right, you tap the court and the court is locked (locked courts are shown with red text).
- To unlock a court, simply tap the court again (unlocked courts are shown with white text)
- Before shuffling, You may preselect players (see below).

On the tab Preselect Players you may select one or more players. The selected players are presented on the first courts, and the remaining players are shuffled. If further shuffling is preferred, lock selected courts and shuffle remaining players. Since the preselection list consist of active players only, you can use it to get an overview of active players. If there is an uneven number of players, you may use the preselection list to select a single player to skip this round. After first shuffling, the list of preselected players is no longer active, but you may always go back to the list and make a new preselection.

Md/Wd shuffles Mens Doubles and Womens Doubles randomly, but with ranking as weight. This means, that players with same rank has greater probability of meeting each other.

Mix shuffles and presents first Mix Doubles and then either Mens or Womens Doubles.

Weak shuffles the entire active list, with rank as weight and then presents doubles by putting players from the top of the list together with players from the bottom of the list.

Mid shuffles the entire active list, with rank as weight and then presents doubles by putting players from the top of the list together with players from the middle of the list, followed by players from the bottom of the list.

Single shuffles only players who also plays single.

It is possible to save court plans with the Save button. This is useful for saving match rounds or if you want to mix several rounds in advance.

Saved rounds is shown with date and time on the tab Saved Rounds. Here rounds can be shown again, deleted or the complete list of saved rounds can be e-mailed in .CSV text format to selected recipient.
